The brief

Ninety pages of internal handbook that new hires were told to read and did not read.

What we did

We rebuilt it as answers to questions people actually ask in their first week, in the order they ask them. We deleted the mission statement. We kept the part about who to talk to when something breaks at 2am.

The result

Day-one completion is now tracked and sits above ninety percent. The handbook is also, quietly, the best recruiting document the company has.
